Putting Claim the Range Under Load

Local concurrency testing helps identify performance limits before the game reaches a public audience.

Travelers and wagons fill a frontier town beneath a sunset sky.

Building a multiplayer browser game means preparing for more than one player clicking around at a time.

We recently put Claim the Range through a series of local load tests designed to simulate concurrent activity and expose performance limitations.

The exercises helped identify differences between application behavior and limitations of the Windows testing environment.

These results are useful for development, but they are not a verified estimate of how many simultaneous players our future live server can support.

The next stage is to evaluate capacity under more representative server conditions and use actual measurements to guide infrastructure decisions.
