Laying the Foundation for Player Supporters
A new Supporter foundation prepares the game for a possible future way to help fund its operation.
Keeping an online multiplayer game running involves ongoing hosting, maintenance, and development costs.
This milestone established the technical foundation for a future Claim the Range Supporter system.
Supporter status is handled separately from administrative roles, and the game now has the underlying functionality needed to recognize eligible accounts.
We also prepared the Gold Resource Banner's eligibility system and updated the player documentation to reflect the new direction.
Payment processing and the complete Supporter membership experience remain future work.
The objective is to create a sustainable way to support the game's operation while keeping the actual gameplay systems under the same authoritative rules.
